*The Gift of Trust*
"Trust is fostered at the place the moment, when we are no longer putting our energy into defending our position. One of the greatest gifts we can give to each other is to be a safe place when opinions and feelings can be aired without fear of being condemned or shunned. Once we are really heard, we will naturally shift our own accord. On the other hand, if our defensiveness is increased, then most of our energy will be put into defending rather then considering other possibilities."
