AloHa! I'm bAcK!!!

I just arrived home from a wonderful trip to Maui. The weather was just fabulous! It was in the 80's mostly everyday, besides one day while we were laying out at the pool it just started to poor rain but it was still warm. It felt amazing, we went and sat in the hot tub and just let it poor down on us. It was great.

On Thanksgiving Tasha cooked us a delicious turkey, and we all had a huge Thanksgiving feast. It was yummy, then later me and Shantel tried to take pics down at the beach, but it was quite dark.

The majorit
y of the time you would find me and Shantel laying out at the pool, playing with Carson and Maddie in the pool
or on the beach,
or shopping. Now coming home from shopping was quite the chore. We got on the wrong shuttle, instead we got on a trolley. The driver was halarious. He told us jokes the entire time (They were jokes i actually understood) Afterwards we finally made it back to the resort.

One day we decided to take an adventure and take SURF lessons. It was an absolute BLAST! I would do it again in a heart beat. I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it really was, and don't worry because our boards were 12 ft. long. (they were huge) but we rode about 80% if the waves. It was totally radical! Surfs up!!! (ha ha)

One of the evenings we went to the Old Lahaina Luau. It was so much fun. They had
the traditional
l cooking of the pig, hula dancing lessons, coconut eating, and a live
band. The hula dancers were unreal and the virgin strawberry daiquiris were delicious!

Funny story...
Our last day out at the pool Shantel and I decided to get a strawberry daiquiri. The waiter came and took our order and 5 min. later brought our drinks to us. We took a taste and thought they tasted kind of weird. I continued filling out the bill, while Shantel was over there stirring hers trying to figure out what was wrong. She finally asked the waiter if they were non-alcoholic and he said No, they are alcoholic. We were freaking out with laughter. We sent them back with him and got us a virgin strawberry daiquiri. We are a huge concern. Now we know that any time we are outside of Utah we must ask for virgin. We learned our lesson. How sad!

We had such a great time! It was great to be able to hang out at the beach, play with Carson and Maddie (they are halarious), try new things, hang out in warm weather, and just take a vacation from school and work.

MAHALO
Tasha, John, Sara Jane, and Ben. I had a fabulous time.

Dumb & Dumber

Me and Shantel made it a goal to use up all her gas in her scooter before we leave for Maui, becuase we knew when we got back it would be way too cold to ride it anymore. As you can see were already all bundled up as it is. We have been going everywhere on that thing. (Reminder: It is a one man scooter) so we look like quite the site riding around town on that hog. This scooter is so fun to ride. We have made numerous mid-night runs to Wal-mart, we have drove on a road where the speed limit is 50 and were going about 20 (maybe 30), we have rode to get pedicures and rode home with no shoes on allowing the wind to help dry our toes, and have just went for relaxing sunday rides. We difinitely look like Dumb and Dumber, but it is a BLAST!!!
And now were off to Maui, leaving at 1:00 tomorrow, and were all out of gas. We did it!

Happy Early Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. I will not be able to join the Hansen traditional Thanksgiving dinner, which I am quite sad about, but I really can't complain. Me and Shantel are off to Maui to tend for Tasha and John. Yeah! I love you all. Happy Thankgiving, and Happy Eating!!!

My Life

Here is the update of basically what is taking place in my life right now... (Just in case any of you were wondering) I am on my 3rd year at UVSC, and will hopefully start my EDEL program in the Fall. I work in the evenings at Nordstrom in the Ling. dpt. (Don't ask me how I got into that one, but if anyone needs a bra fitting, I am your woman.) During the day I am either at school or babysitting for Shannon and Cory. I love staying busy, and that is exactly what I am doing.

I just have to let everyone know that Hayes, Princess Olivia, and Boston are the most amazing kids. I love them so much. I have now been tending Cory and Shannon's kids for 3 years now, and have loved every second of it. They have become like my own kids. I go through withdrawls if I don't see them. They each have the sweetest spirits about them, and I'm so grateful I am able to be apart of their lives.
Hayes and Olivia are at the best age right now, they are almost 3, and are saying and doing some of the funniest things. I love to sit and just listen to them talk to me and eachother. (Hayes & Olivia are wearing some glasses I made them out of apple juice holders, they loved them. They didn't want to take them off for their nap.) Boston is Mr. Busy man. He is usually at school when I'm over but when I get to see him, I love watching him rip on Guitar Hero, we play outside, or create some sort of art project. He is such a stud!

Go BYU Cougars!

Last Thursday we all went to the BYU vs. TCU game. It was a fabulous game. Cougars won! Yeah!!!
Don't worry because we sat one row down from the very top, but we could still see everything, it really wasn't bad it was just quite the hike to get there.

Funny story...
As Shantel and I would drive down the streets of BYU on game days or just regular days, we wouldn't see one person without a BYU shirt, sweatshirt, hat, blanket, or anything withoutthe BYU logo on it. We would just laugh and kind of be concerned! Until that Thursday night out strolls Shantel with her BYU sweatshirt on. From that moment she became my concern! Ha Ha.
A little BYU spirit doesn't hurt!

Right after 3rd quarter I really had to go to the bathroom, so Shantel and I began our hike down to the bottom, as I was walking under the tunnel I noticed something crumbled up on the ground. I hurried and picked it up noticing it was some $$$ money. I looked around and stood there waiting for someone to claim it and no one did. I had just found myself $18.00, so I bought a BYU hot chocolate souvenir mug. I was just thrilled!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween, finding costumes was quite the process for all of us. Shantel finally bought herself a Pirate Wench costume, and I think mine was some sort of a Captain Pirate's wife costume. We had a party the weekend before Halloween at Angeline's House (Shantel's aunt) It was such a BLAST!
The night of Halloween we went to a party over here in Provo at the Hollywood House, which is right next to my apartment. It was out of control. Garrison and Kyle decided to join us, and showed up in quite the Gid-up! We all had a great time.

Girls Night out

Every once in a while, me and Shantel have our little Bizzles (sisters) come have a huge Slumber Party. The night typically consists of talking about stuff (boys), laughing hysterically, eating (of course), playing games, watching movies, and getting about 4 hours of sleep. We are all pretty hilarious together. Nights like these ROCK!

The BIG Move!

Me and Shantel finally moved out into the Real World
at about the end of August.  We absolutley love it. It is darling, Thanks Jenn Granum!!

We have such a blast! It is a ton of fun to be out on our own, but it sucks having to pay for all the necessities I'm so use to just having my parents buy f
or me. How sad, I guess we need to grow up sometime.

It was fun and random how this whole moving out thing came to be. Shantel has been doing her own thing and I have been doing mine since High school until out of no where I was determined to move out one day and called Shantel up, asked her if she wanted to move out, and she said "I'm In!" We had to re-due the whole place before we moved in, which was quite the process, but it was so worth it. We are so spoiled!
Our Apartment is sweet!

There is just the 3 of us living in this huge apartment, Shantel, Jenn and myself. We all get along great! We don't see Jenn much, she is either at school or work, and the same for us. Jenn is from Seattle and goes to BYU. She is darling! Here is a pic in case anyone wants to know what she looks like. Jenn is the one on the left. (Halloween night, she normally doesn't dress in suspenders)

I finally got a BLOG!!!

Everyone has been asking me why I don't have a blog, and well...
I didn't know if my life was exciting enough to, but I decided to make one anyway.
Hope you enjoy!
